Mvita Primary School is a government School located in Mombasa Island, a few kilometers from the port of Mombasa.

It is an old School opened on 3rd February 1953 by the then his Excellency Sir Everlyn Baring, the then Governor of Kenya.

The School has a population of 712 pupils who include 44 boys and 46 girls from Kindergarten (Nursery), 345 boys and 277 girls from Primary School section.

-The staff is composed of six male teachers and fourteen female teachers. Out of these trained professionals only sixteen are employed y the Government.

-The School is a two-storey building with 24 classrooms which are used as follows: -three classes, eighteen classes, one class, one class, one class
